Welles wasn't exactly known for his humbleness so I can imagine that plenty of people did hate him. That hatred was probably exacerbated by Welles actually living up to his hype.

There was about the same number of Menace and Uncut UHDs at my local store. Since my store pulled it, I find it ironic that not a soul knew a thing about Citizen Kane when I tried to see if I could order it so I could get the sale price. I'll work that out later.

Yeah, I think Criterion is small enough that an issue like this gets immediate focus and is fixed ASAP. Does anyone remember the last-minute recall of Dressed To Kill that made them move the release date? I think the corrected one was in stores in about a month. Not to say that replacement discs...
