    Randal's shrug after he throws the ring away (at 1:54) always makes me laugh. In 2006, that scene was a breath of fresh air after 5 years of hearing how those movies were the finest moments in the history of cinema.

    When they first came out, I was impressed by the craftsmanship but ultimately didn't really care for the LOTR movies. As the years have gone by, I've actually come to enjoy them more and now, some of the fans don't enjoy them as much. The whole world has gone topsy turvy. :laugh:

    If they're $70 now, I wouldn't be surprised to see a great sale around the holidays where you can get both LOTR and The Hobbit for about $100. Ninety minutes of bonus features isn't even remotely enough to get me to 'have' to buy this set at a much higher price than the two individual sets...

    This has 31 discs so am I right in assuming that each movie has 2 UHDs (one for the theatrical cut, one extended) and 3 Blu-rays (one theatrical, two for extended)? Then the 31st disc has the bonus features.
