Yeah, I was cool with paying $160 to Shout to get the prints they offered and to get it early so $80 is great.

They're probably matching the sale that Shout is having at their site. I imagine that the sets at Amazon have the replacement discs by now but I guess ordering from Shout guarantees that you get them.

It seems like you'll need to request the replacement discs. A few days ago, Shout posted on their website: Since they only specify that they have the corrected discs, I'd think that means that all other retailers will just go through their existing stock with the uncorrected discs but I'd guess...

To give credit where credit is due, the fulfillment did finally reply to me at the end of business today saying that they were sending me another set discs and that they were sorry the discs got lost/never shipped to begin with. Considering the USPS is still a backed up disaster, I'll be waiting...

That's what I got by replying to the second e-mail (telling people that they sent the discs) but I still had the first e-mail with a different e-mail address [email protected] I got an automated response from that which said it could take 2 or 3 days for their response.

I envy you even having an update. Mine still hasn't shipped. :lol: I've gotten two packages in the last month from the USPS. I must still be waiting on 10 things and except for this, the tracking is showing them all as stuck in limbo or Jersey City.

I'm waiting on the Psycho discs too but I signed up probably a month after most people did so I expect to be last in line there. Plus, those discs have been cloaked in more mystery than a David Lynch movie so I have no clue when to expect them.

Me neither. Did you get the e-mail from the fulfillment company where they blame the post office for not scanning them? I could be wrong but I think even if the USPS screwed up and didn't scan them when they first got picked up, at some point they'd be scanned and the tracking number would start...

Whatever the reason, that's the way it's been shown in every release since the first DVD in 2000.

Yeah, the DVDs and Blu-rays have the Part 2 flashback footage matted to 2.35 but for some weird reason, that shot of Jason crawling away and the opening credits have always been presented at about 1.85 in the middle of the 2.35 frame in all of its DVD and Blu-ray incarnations.

You don't happen to remember if that shot of Jason on the floor wasn't in the full 2.35 aspect ratio? That shot and the opening credits always have been 1.85(?) in the 2.35 frame from the 2000 DVD to today but I'm curious about the prints.

Yes except it's an eyeball, an arrow, a yo-yo, a snake, a fist wrapped in a chain, etc.

I pretty much hate JGTH and Jason X so I'm not particularly concerned about them but I suppose if I have them, they might as well be complete so I ordered the replacement discs. :D

For the folks that only wanted the 3-D disc but understandably didn't want to spend the money on the rest of the set, you might want to keep an eye on eBay once the replacement discs start shipping. Non-3-D credits seems worth it if the price is right.

What makes that shot even odder is that it was definitely shot for Part III because he removes the machete and crawls away (and the machete is still stuck in his shoulder when he jumps through the window at the end of Part 2 so the shot of Jason taking the machete out in Part III wouldn't have...

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but since they used the Marks 3-D system to shoot Part III, doesn't that pretty much mean that the movie is never going to look particularly great? I'm not referring to the 3-D (I assume that can look excellent) but the dirt and parts of the frame that are out...
