    TCM HD still does nt broadcast any actual hd material. It's all upconvert.

    Roland I think you hit on it. Sounds like confusion with AMC. They do all kinds of dastardly things to movies on both of their channels sd/hd.

    Stephen I think you're right.its been awhile since I had Comcast so I don't remember if aspect ratios where different on either channel. I do remember the picture looking much much better on the HD one. Although the he feed of Grimm didn't look very good to me. Pretty washed out from what I do...

    I don't think TCM HD enhances anything. It just airs the oar version compared to what is shown on the sd channel. I have FIOS now so. Don't get the hd channel anymore some can't compare.

    TCM has an hd feed of their channel but does not air any hd content.It is all unconverted from non hd , so in other words there is no hd airing of any shows or movies on TCM-HD NETWRK.

    I think that's talked about on the disc somewhere. The actors needed to look in that direction so that as John mentioned it would appear that they were looking at each other directly. On a "flat"version they appear to be looking off in the distance or at cue cards the way they sometimes look...
