And don't forget that that the full screen versions of films will have gray bars on the side!! That fact alone is enough to buy the widescreen version.
The 5-Star edition of Die Hard also has a neat P&S vs. Widescreen comparison. Also, www.widescreen.org is a great site that explains the difference between widescreen and P&S. They show examples from many films with different aspect ratios.
