Hans Zimmer is a mixed bag (I usually dislike his scores) but I have to agree on Zimmer's score for Interstellar. The Force Awakens didn't have the most memorable score, but I enjoyed it more than his scores for the prequels. The prequels had some good music in spots, such as Duel of the Fates...
Good. Please post in here and let us know. I saw TFA twice and both times, I thought that I heard that Luke failed with one of his students, but that student was unnamed. I could have totally missed that it was Ren, but each time I saw the film I thought that it was NOT Ren.
Possibly, but it wasn't specifically mentioned. There was mention of a Jedi apprentice that Luke failed to train. Whether or not it was Ren, we don't know yet.
I'm not sure why some people think that Von Sydow's character was Boba Fett since Fett was killed in ROTJ. He was only brought back to life in the expanded universe and Abrams specifically said that the EU wouldn't be considered at all for the new trilogy.
I loved the size of the hologram. It hearkens back to Emperor Palpatine's hologram in ESB. It also made Snoke more enigmatic because we don't know his stature - or lack thereof.
I haven't read anything regarding Harrison Ford wanting Solo killed in this movie. I searched online today and came up empty. I could only find stories dating back to his promotional appearances for Return of the Jedi. He even made the comment that Lucas couldn't sell dead Han action figures so...
