I think what we are seeing here is the studios realizing the financial reality of running a streaming service. The studio-run subscription services were mostly in response to how much money Netflix had been making off content the studios had licensed out to the service for what ended up being at...
What I'm seeing is WBD moving a lot of content that has not been getting a lot of views to other services to monetize on them further. Paramount, Universal, and even Disney have been licensing out content (not necessarily "original" content, though) to other streaming services.
Hulu has a lot...
Not likely. Most of the HBO Max series have been digital and *maybe* DVD, but no Blu-ray or UHD. The only exceptions are the HBO proper series Westworld and House of the Dragon.
Six Max Original movies have now been removed from the service:
The Witches (Zemeckis remake)
Moonshot
An American Pickle
Charm City Kings
Superintelligence
Locked Down
I suspect that will be coming to an end sometime soon for AT&T internet and wireless phone customers, in the same way that Apple reduced the free trial period for Apple TV+ for their iPhone customers. Since AT&T used the term "lifetime" when they were offering these free subscriptions, many will...
AT&T definitely has their share of the blame. AT&T is known for bogging down a company with bad business decisions. Look at the failure of U-Verse, the bleeding of long-time customers at DirecTV, etc. AT&T is one of the main internet providers in my area, and they have no desire to upgrade their...

I went ahead and renewed, and it extended my next billing cycle out to 30 days from today. So, I guess they unwittingly gave me 2 free weeks since they supposedly gave me a full month refund earlier today? But still....
UPDATE: The supervisor I was speaking to just called me back and got...
Looks like the only option is for me to re-subscribe (again). This is the second time this same agent has done this to me in two weeks, and yet management will do nothing for me other than promise to "have a discussion" with the agent.
Be careful how you word anything to HBO Max customer service. I responded to that e-mail basically saying that I was not really enjoying the service "as it is now" and that I was not satisfied with the HDR10 streams. Mark turned around and cancelled my subscription.
Yep, DV is no longer working on the Roku app for HBO Max on either Roku powered TVs or devices running Roku OS v11. The rep I spoke with at HBO Max said that they are aware of the issue and are working on it. He did suggest that anyone experiencing the issue to contact HBO Max support anyway so...
