A film is always available to rent the same day it is available to purchase. And that would be Tuesday for Green Book. You never specified when you tried to rent it but since you posted that comment today it’s logical to assume you tried very recently.

I’m not criticizing any ones home theater as there are many here that are truly impressive. I never said that and that’s not my intent.
All I said was that in my opinion they could not compare with a great moviegoing experience like an IMAX or...
Of course there are plenty of crappy theaters out there where watching a film in a great home theater is a preferable.
However I’m speaking exclusively to properly projected films on a big screen with great sound. And that’s where home theaters fall short.
That’s an individual issue and the fault of your particular theater. Not properly managed theaters. As I’ve always said no home theater no matter how impressive can compete with a great movie theater with great projection and great sound.
It’s only a slap in the face if the Academy deliberately overlooked his film and they didn’t.
