Sorry, but it sounds to me like you don't want to have an open discussion. I and others have given you reasons and you have attacked them, not tried to discuss them imo. It seems as though your mind is completely made up on Serenity and you really aren't interested in any one else's opinion...

I can answer that Lou. For instance, the fighting scenes seemed very reminiscent of TV shows. Poor choreography. Also the extras just seemed to act like TV extras. Over exaggerating their movements if you know what I mean. Also a lot of the visual effects were sub par for the big screen, but...

:rolleyes Yeah? And what's your point? Sorry it's inexplicable to you Henry, but I thought I was free to comment on the parts of Serenity I have seen. And I made my reasons clear why I was doing so too. I have since finished it and, like I said, will be posting my comments in the discussion...

For the record, the awkward dialog is just one of the many problems I'm having with Serenity so far.

As soon as I finish it, I'll be more than happy to discuss it in the **official discussion thread** since this is the DVD review thread.

Btw, I'm not trying to ruffle the feathers of Serenity's fans. It's just that I was really looking forward to this film from all the comments here and am astounded by how bad it is so far. I bought the film sight unseen. It's just incredibly disappointing to me. :frowning:

Thanks Chuck. And thanks Henry for proving my point. I still stand by those comments too. I have now suffered thru half the film and it hasn't gotten any better. Torturous. I will finish this film and post my brief comments here and more thoro comments in the official discussion...

Does this film get any better?? I have watched the first half hour and cannot believe how much it sucks! Bad effects, horrible cringe inducing dialog, cheesy TV show look and feel (I know, deliberate right?), and bad acting by no name actors. I was really looking forward to this after...
