One book I read recently is Turnaroud: A Memoir, by Milos Forman. The first half of it is an autobiography on Forman's life growing up in and around Prague, and the second half is a dated but detailed look at all his films (up to Valmont). Both halves are well written (with Jan Novak)...

I was in the middle of Louis Gianetti's Understanding Movies, when I had to stop to read an assigned book (I'm still in high school). I'll finish that first and count it on the challenge.
