Honestly, I didn't even notice the hydraulic until this post - and I've seen the film at least twice. I think I was focusing more on whether or not Mike got into the boat without getting eaten. I'm sure I'll notice the hydraulic now, though ;)

Sad news. I'm not too familiar with MG's work outside of Jaws 2, but at the same time I'm sure I saw him in at least a couple of TV series/movie over the years - especially given that I'm a fan of '70's/'80's TV & cinema. Never knew this either.

Jaws 2 is a great summer movie, though obviously not nearly as good as the first one. It was nice to see Scheider & some of the other cast back from the first film; I was surprised that the Mayor actually had much better taste in suits this time around, compared to the tacky clothes he wore in...
