Lou although you quoted my post it appeared you were asking Randall. That's why I didn't respond.

It's simply a positive that you were able to communicate with them. I'd be very interested if you'd tell us if the prints are better than what is currently streaming on YouTube and particularly Amazon Prime. Thank you Randall.

It's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious If you say it loud enough, you'll always sound precocious! Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!! Thank you Randall. I'll anxiously await your review!

M Squad is like a boot-leg compilation. Might as well add the majority of the Timeless and ShoutFactory! releases to your wish list. Some Naked City episodes are spectacular while others are very mediocre. Like Route 66, I don't believe we will ever see any better.

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

I believe Warner is looking to target stuff never released previously.

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Actually, it might very well be true, perhaps only a rumor now. On BluRay.com in one of their forum discussion threads many months ago, a poster claimed he heard George Feltenstein on his blog talking about the WarnerArchive working on another BluRay release of a classic tv series that ran only...

Here's a few grabs from Colt 45 S01E09 Young Gun (Dec.13.1957). These are untouched.

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Sure, let's start a new thread. Things I'd like to see released on DVD and BluRay.
  13. The 1960's

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Yes I agree. I should've revised my post to include series which have been released but released poorly. But the thing is, the odds of any of those you've listed above ever happening now, in the 2020's, on physical media, are likely 9.99999 out of 10. I have to chuckle when I see members here...

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Not me. No Streets, no Invaders. All I wanna see is stuff that's never seen the light of day on physical media or streaming, PERIOD!

Welcome back from me as well Lou! I like your taste in Classic TV!

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Thanks David. I had no idea the cost was greater. Being that I have seen Angel, I will wait to see what happens.

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

David since the 35mm raw scans look so good why no BluRay release too?
  18. The 1960's

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Randall that was probably me when I was working for Warner. Quite often I'd have my desert while packing the orders.

Where do you see any "making conclusions" Todd? I simply stated I noticed the update on his KickStarter page. Can't wait to see it released!
  20. The 1960's

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

I was beginning to wonder if we'd ever see The Abbott & Costello Season Two. I looked on Bob Furmanek's KickStarter page which has a new September 13, 2023 update. I don't believe he's made mention of that here at HTF. Projected release date states May, 2023.

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Jeff is asking that we write about the ratio of black-and-white, compared to color series in our collections, not just throw up a list of b&w series that we own. Can't anyone read?
  22. The 1960's

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Jeff I just did a quick tally and my physical media collection is comprised of about 80-85% Black & White, however my digital collection has grown so much in the past few years that I'd say including those, the ratio is down to about 65-70% Black & White.

David just announced the ClassicFlix Super Summer Sale over here which includes The Abbott and Costello Show - Season 1 @ $19.98. Best price ever. Howie will be buying a Besser backup copy!
  24. The 1960's

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

I can relate. I'd say about 95% of my collections have been replaced by physical and digital media. Also most of my decks are worn out from tremendous use. I'm sure I spent far more time recording than viewing.
  25. The 1960's

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

You are correct. I had enough trouble finding the time to watch the thousands of VHS, Super-VHS, and D-VHS tapes I accumulated let alone reaching out to folks all over the country. Now all those tapes belong in the dumpster but because I hate throwing things out they take up the space equal to a...

  27. The 1960's

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

Thanks. Must be the same prints. Most of those on YouTube run 22:08 or less. What does Dallas mean, are you referring to a tv station in the city of Dallas which aired The Farmer's Daughter?
