4K can show off large format film quite nicely, if handled correctly.

The scan looks decent, but being a D-150 title, a 4K version should happen.

Just remember that the resolution increase isn't the only thing; there's also improved contrast and colour fidelity, which becomes more apparent on newer features than older ones. Still, I totally understand your POV.

I appreciate that Criterion usually puts harvest details under a heading called "About the Transfer"...

As RAH stated above, there are some great post houses, and FotoKem is one of them; however, the actual restoration work is done by people with the requisite training and experience to know what to do with that raw data once it moves into the digital realm.
