This needs to go straight to 4K Blu-ray , don't just leave at 1080
And bring "Doctor Zhivago" as long as well
In fact, WB probably has most of the films I really want to see on 4k but haven't been released as of yet ...
It would be surprising if a film from the man considered the Greatest Living Filmmaker - namely Martin Scorsese- would not a Blu-ray release eventually
I received an email today from Warner Archives regarding February titles...and they listed "King Richard" in 4K as one of the releases . So perhaps there are some recent WB (4K)titles that are bypassing traditional retail markets, and are only available for sale on the internets,
I might be mistaken, but aren't some recent Warner titles like "The Many Saints of Newark" and "Cry Macho" only available on 4K through Warner Archives ?
What are the chances of WAC doing 4k disc upgrades of titles that have so-so blu-ray releases ? I'm thinking of titles like "Deliverance", "Dog Day Afternoon", "The Dirty Dozen". "Bullitt", and especially "The Wild Bunch"
Those photos of the old marquees are great...I remember so many of those theaters. (Though I never went in any of the ones on 42nd Street...way too seedy and dangerous
As a native New Yorker who grew up in the 1970s, I LOVE these photos...I remember these days very well
The theater where it says "Big 3 features" is now a theater for kid's plays (at least before the pandemic)
True. I bought this a few months ago in B&N, and the Black and White clips in Part 1 were incredibly grainy. I thought the color clips looked a lot better
