    Star Trek future movies?

Frankly, I wouldn't mind a reboot of the franchise, I'd just prefer to do it without having to involve TOS characters. If you're going to reboot do it with new characters, because the minute you drastically change the world and the characters the characters aren't Kirk, Spock, etc. anymore to...

He also says he has the "option to direct" so he may end up just producing it - J.J. Abram's presents a Bryan Singer film? Hehe.

Lord knows we can't allow people to conjecture on FICTIONAL UNIVERSES!!!!

After the performance of Nemesis I can certainly fathom Stewart (who doesn't really seem hurting for work) could be too expensive for the amount of money they'd be willing to throw at another TNG-based film. I do agree with you with everything concerning Berman, hopefully he's just being left...

Has to be a joke character . . . just has to be.

Was it really a case of Paramount trying to save money? Shatner, in "Movie Memories" make it sound more like ILM just didn't have a team to commit to the film because they were busy with another film (maybe an Indiana Jones, I can't remember) and Ghostbusters 2. Of course, Shatner could just...

    Star Trek future movies?

The minute Stewart and Spiner were allowed in on the pre-production creative process of the films things went downhill rather quickly. Berman would have eventually gotten it there anyway, but I think the Stewart and Spiner influence (particularly Stewart with Insurrection) really hastened the...

Well, Next Generation was only nominated for the best dramatic series emmy for its final season - which many view as having been the "apology" for not nominating it for one of its far more successful seasons a few years earlier, because season 7, aside from maybe two or three episodes, certainly...

Not really a "classic" yet I guess, but I'd kill for a film version of "Perdido Street Station" (done correctly of course).

It also made no logical sense, and the fact that I really agreed more with the "bad guys" in Insurrection than the "good guys." I guess the writers realized that too, because the only way they could get around that issue was to make the "bad guys" previous "good guys" that were out for revenge.

It doesn't take some subconscious symbolism. The Borg have always been called "hive like" and been related in analogy to insects - which generally have a queen rather than a king.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the TNG episode "Darmok." I think that's the name of it, that's one of my favorite episodes as well.

I've never really understood the time travel criticism of the film. It was a nice of way of bringing back the Borg without just repeating "The Best of Both Worlds," and I'm convinced alot of the criticism people have of the film stems more from the mishandling of time travel and the Borg in...

First Contact was a Braga & Moore affair, with Berman getting a story credit, but who knows how much he actually had to do with it besides sending a memo saying, "That's too risky" every now and then. I also believe First Contact was the last movie where we didn't have Stewart and/or Spiner...

I want another TNG minus Picard and Data - they were so overplayed in the movies and I didn't give a crap about either of them after First Contact. I wanted more time with everyone else.
