I have the 2005 Robe and 2001 Demetrius. Both look fine. The 2005 Robe is dirty with specks everywhere. I'm not sure if that was indicative of early Cinemascope or not. Demetrius has the same look as The Robe...the same bright colors, and similar grain. I'm a perfectionist (duh!) and I am happy...

If this is true, was The Bible also restored? Because it was re-released at the same time. The older disc is horribly cropped (taking a 35mm print and cropping it to a 70mm AR.)

Both of these films look fine, as Joe Caps has stated. If you have the old discs there is no reason to upgrade for the new cover art.

I was under the impression that these were simply repackages. The Bible: In the Beginning was another title in the "collection." In fact, the chapter inserts, disc art, and menus are exactly the same.
