Guess I'll be the first to say..... What a let down. Not the winner, I actually like the winner. But the show just sort of went out with a wimper. Even the final 2 minutes with Steven S. were lame. I don't think this show can be fixed enough for another attempt next year. Well, Anyway...

I am also very shocked that Zach was sent home but I am sure it wont take long for him to get some job offers. I think the same think happened to him that happens on American Idol. People assume a person is safe, so they vote for their next choice. As for last night's shorts. I liked them...

I agree with Mark B. It does seem like a lot to ask to have a person write and direct a new short each week. -- I actually liked Zack's film. Although it didn't have much "road" to it. I thought the pirates were pretty good. I am scared for him though because he just barely survived...

Adam, the prize for the director with the most votes this week is the opportunity to have Jerry O'Connell act in their next film. I think I remember the kid, but the name isn't familiar. A real prize would have been to get to direct someone like Harrison Ford or some other A list actor. Or...

I think the final six are the right choices. All six have shown some pretty good stuff although not consistently. Last nights movies were all pretty good. I really don't have a favorite. I think the judges were a little to harsh on Zach. It is like they expect him to be better than everyone...

I also hope Kenny finally gets sent home. I am so tired of his abstract, MTV cut, self indulgent crap. I have mixed feelings about who else should go. I think Mateen did much better this time, but if you take his whole body of work into consideration, he should be the other to go. As for the...

Is anyone else getting tired of seeing the same actors and hearing the same music is these shorts? It is like the directors get to pick out of a set group of actors and a set list of stock music.

I just hate that they are going to eliminate 2 of the 5. Guess that cuts down on the number of episodes, so is just another cost saving thing. The problem I have with it is they loaded down this group of 5 with 3 of the best contestants. That is pretty risky. I am sure one of the 3 guys will be...

I think I am being misunderstood. There are 2 points I was attempting to make. (I guess not very well) Point 1 : He is using the fact that he is Urban, or from the streets, to try and give himself the "spike lee" vibe. He is attempting to make himself the "voice of the hood" in both his...

The race card to me is any time he feel compelled to mention that he is "urban". Which is a joke since he previously worked on Wall Street. He reminds me of the rich guy in the sweater on Fresh Prince (Carlton?). Mateen is always going out of his way to point out he is different, "from the hood"...

The Director of "Rodney King, the movie" should be the one going home. It wasn't a horror film. It should have been called Paranoia, not Profiling. He once again pulled out the Race Card. I bet his is getting worn around the edges. He actually said that every day, all around the country, this...

Guess FOX will do anything to help the ratings. :) Did anyone else notice that she mentioned that the voting was up by 30 something percent from the previous week? I wonder if more people are participating or the same people are voting more?

I guess Fox is really trying to keep the budget in check. LOL, they let Jessica go before she got to make a film for this week. I am glad they did it that way. This week was pretty good for me. I didn't think any of the films sucked. Here is the order I would rank them. 6 - Making a Girl...

My feeling is the last few weeks they were using the studio equipment and people to make the new films we will be seeing starting next week. I don't think that the remaining 12 directors could all film in one week. That is a lot of crews and equipment.

I am confused about the ratings for this show. I just looked and last night's episode got better ratings than Monday's. A 2.6/5 last night, a 1.8/3 on Monday. Does that mean more people watched the results show than the regular one? Or does that just mean that not many people watched Monday's...

Anthony, I think the reason we didn't get much behind the scenes was due to the fact that there are a lot of contestants remaining. They didn't have time. I think that when the number of contestants gets smaller, they will start to fill up the time with more behind the scene stuff. At least I...

Chris, I mentioned the "race card" because during his interview before showing the short, he said something about how he had to represent the inner city or something along those lines. It just seemed like he was trying to use his "inner city"-ness to get votes. That might just be how I took it...

I can't understand how Zack can pull this stuff off with no budget. "Danger Zone" had green screen which is tough, but doable with the right software and skill. But it also had Pyros and Stunts. That was pretty cool. He had to have access to this sort of stuff somehow. Not everyone has squibs...

I liked most of them. There were a few exceptions. I didn't like "Soft" at all. First of all, the director pulled out the race card from the start. Then, he says he is from the inner city etc. He was working on Wall Street for god sakes!!. Hardly the poster boy of the "hood". The main thing...

Mike, the second episode was a little better in my opinion. I think that as the number of contestants gets smaller, we are going to see more and more of the stuff they make. In fact, on the second episode, at least we get to see some of the creations. Not all of them, but probably about half.

I think the show is/will get(ting) better as it goes. I think they deliberately do not show us some of the contestants so they have some "new" faces to focus on as the show moves on. They do the exact same think on Idol until they get down to the top 12. It also might be that they dont have...
