George Kaplan should really like this part... he can now equate Mack Brown to Adolf Hitler.

That pretty much sums it up. That was quite a game.

Keep in mind the only reason Michigan's bowl streak is at "only" 33 is that the Big Ten had a rule then where they only sent one team to a bowl -- the conference champ to the Rose Bowl. Michigan stayed home for the holidays two straight years with only one loss and one tie over those two seasons...

No calls this year. UM lost a lot of players from last season, Rodriguez had a short recruiting season, and it will take time to get the right players to run his radically different system. As Marty said, if this happens two years from now Rodriguez will be gone. This season, though, he gets a...

I have to agree with this, too. The Buckeyes do not look like a Top 10 team at all without Wells. Their upperclassman QB is mediocre, and the freshman Pryor needs some experience. OSU has struggled against mediocre competition, and was blown out by their one quality opponent. I'm not sure if...

Your short term memory is not working very well, Thomas. OSU lost last weekend. :D

I think it's highly unlikely that there would be four undefeated teams going into the bowl games. A much more likely scenario is what we've seen in the past -- either one undefeated team and a whole bunch of one-loss teams, or zero unbeatens.

There is no way Notre Dame is beating USC this season. The Irish are a poor football team. They let a struggling Michigan offense march up and down the field. The only reason they beat UM was (1) Michigan couldn't hang onto the ball, and (2) UM's secondary has some major breakdowns in coverage...

Threet has some potential, since he has a decent, albeit inaccurate, arm. He's just slow to make decisions, and is not very mobile. Those liabilities make him less than ideal for Rodriguez's offense. He may overcome the decision-making issues, but he's not going to become more mobile. Sheridan...

You mean that Saturday's Michigan - Notre Dame game isn't the big one for this weekend? :D The UM - ND game still means something around here, but it will not be a pretty game to watch. Neither team has looked good so far this season. Michigan is going to struggle every week with their poor...

FYI, Central Michigan was the preseason favorite to win their division in the MAC. The Chippewas are actually a decent team this season. I'd put them at a similar level to East Carolina and Cincinnati.

Personally, I like the college rule over the NFL rule. In the pros, the PAT is the only time that the defense has no opportunity to score. It always seems like such an empty finish to a play when the whistle blows while the ball is loose on an NFL PAT. The concerns over Michigan's offense...

I only watched the first half of that game, and I agree. The SC quarterback was terrible, and the Gamecocks committed penalty after penalty. NC State wasn't any better.

I think most fans are taking a "wait and see" approach, although Les Miles was the overwhelming fan choice for the job (but the athletic director screwed that up). With the whole West Virginia lawsuit issue, though, fans will not show much patience with RR, IMO. While he gets a pass this...

I am expecting a rough season for the Wolverines. The defense should be decent, but the offense will struggle a lot. The team is learning a completely new offensive system under new coach Rodriguez, and they have new starters virtually everywhere. No QB has any game experience, and they also...
