Have you measured just how high in the freq band you have the ability to hear?
Well, perhaps having only been to a few loud concerts has helped in my case... I just downloaded some test tones and experimented a bit. I was able to easily hear up to 18kHz, and could also hear the 19kHz tone at a lower level. Couldn't hear the 20kHz tone at all. I was using my M-Audio...- Scott Kriefall
