No, has nothing to do with not being up to par. Please don't jump to that conclusion. Your choice came out of left field and has capabilities and limitations that don't match up to everything else you have told us so far. As Jim notes you have wildly changed your mind about a dozen different...

There are so many things I could ask and say, but I'm skipping it. Enjoy it and don't give a damn what I or anyone else thinks about your choice.

I'm so wanting to not reply to this thread again, but my curiousity has the best of me. How in the world did you decide on the Panasonic 100U??? /boggle

Right, but here is what you arent getting Boots. You are focusing on the wrong things. Your system ALL has to work together. You aren't going to get a system together without taking care to get the fundamentals right. Seriously, you want to put a 120" screen in and you don't have a receiver that...

With your projection distance and light issues I'd not do 130, no. But you've already heard my opinion on that room and dismissed it.... =)

The blackout curtains alone are probably going to run you $1000.... Or more. And they will still leak light around their sides!

Gotcha. I understand the desire to have a big ole projector and the frustrations of butting heads when the space you want to put it in doesn't exactly work right. I had many of the same issues. BUT. The house was my own and I didn't have to ask anyone's permissions to do things to the room...

LMAO Sam. Boots: I'm actually confused tho, is this a basement or a main floor? Either way, my recommendation stands, I think this is a really tough space to work with. VERY LARGE windows on the rear and one side, a double walk through door in the rear, and an odd shape rear to boot. Yeah...

I'm going to give you my opinion Boots, you aren't going to like it but here it is: That is a terrible room to try to put a projector in. Buy a nice flat panel and be done with it. You aren't going to be able to get much bigger than 80 or 90 inches, but that's the reality for panels today. The...
