I only brought my beat up Alpha 6000 to Animal Kingdom. Trying to get sharp and well lit pics on that safari bus hitting 30mph is fricking impossible. Really wish I brought my D500 and 70-300 instead. But.... The best camera is what you have with you, made the best of it...
First trip ever to the Boogie Down Bronx. Think I have fallen in love again with the 70-300.

Haha yeah, I'm still wearing my training wheels tho. =) I'm honored to serve HTF in this capacity and trying to be just a smiiiidge less of a noodge about my posting style. Thanks for the kudos!
Been searching for reviews and samples of the new 80-400 and came accross this one, I think it is by Jeffrey Snyder of Adorama but not sure:

Yeah, this is my next lens. Shaaaaaaarp!
I love the bazooka! The 100-400L beats the pants off the 80-400VR but isn't up to the sharpness of the 70-300VR tho obviously it has 100mm more reach. If I was Canon full time tho the 100-400 would definitely be in my stable.... Heavy bugger tho!
