Sounds like the TNG episode "Tapestry..." I always thought a TNG movie with Q made a lot of sense. Can't imagine why that was never developed.

That's true, although it's been 13 or 14 years since Generations, and Shatner has aged, as has Nimoy. Both men look good, if you ask me, but Shatner's not going to pass for a man in his early 60s, which is how old he was when Generations was filmed.
