The Japanese laser disc and version they show on TCM HD are the same. They have in comparison to the US disc: more picture info on the sides overture and intermission music picture to go with the sound from the prologue

Portland does have the Hollywood theatre which was a Cinerama theatre many years ago and its still open, see the main auditorium below.

They never looked at it because Warner Brothers never sent it to them even though it was requested in May.

If your talking about Grimm, yes there is a 65mm that Warner Brothers has. We don't know what condition its in as no one has looked at it in a long time. It was thought that a digital copy could be made of it if the 3-strip was not available.

Grimm will be shown twice at the Cinerama Dome. Tickets will be on sale sometime next week.

Its not guaranteed but right now it looks like the 3-strip print will be shown.

Or they might get the 65mm from WB.

They are still trying to get Grimm.

Very slight improvement with the upscale to TCM HD. Not worth updating the web site. Still waiting on WB to send 65mm to Cinerama for review.

HTWWW was released first then TWWOTBG second in other countires. In the US the opposite.
