Alain Silver and James Ursini did a great commentary for the DVD from Pendragon.
Whoever you use, this is definitely a purchase from me! This is a favorite of mine.
The 2nd post in this thread is updated weekly with release dates. If you go there you can see that there is still no date for this release. Coming Soon.
Actually, I believe it was "So Proudly We Hail" where she showed off her "Victory Roll".
And on youtube you can see the newsreel where she shows the dangers of her peekaboo hairstyle for factory workers.
This is interesting news, but it doesn't answer the question whether or not it is the same master that Imprint Films used for their August 2022 release.
Either way, depending on the extras I may double dip. I really enjoy Kino's releases!
You sure about that? I think KL will get the same transfer that Imprint received from Paramount. If you have information that shows otherwise, please share.
You may not be interested in commentary tracks, but many of us are. A good one can give insight to the production of the film, an understanding of the times the movie was made and originally released, and information on the cast and crew as well as how some of the shots/effects were conceived...
The Wild Life, Finally!
I thought this would be locked up in music rights hell forever. I don't think I have seen this since the 80's on cable.
It's not bad enough that I just purchased so many from my want list, but I also found a few that I had missed before, along with a few I didn't know I wanted!
I'll tell you how bad I did, I broke it into two orders, those that were in stock and those that were out of stock.
Pass the can...
How awesome is this news! I wasn't expecting a Jack Ford* / Harry Carey silent film announcement today. This is a short 50 minute film, I wonder if there will be extras on this?
Keep 'em coming, Kino!
* - He wouldn't be listed as John Ford for another five years
They announced it in February.

Wow, what an unexpected delight. I fondly recall my history teacher showing this in class when I was in Junior High.
Glad to see they are using the original poster over what that DVD snapper case used.
I also would love to see more Roy Rogers, but unfortunately I don't think it is going to happen with what KL said back in August when asked about it.
This is a real shame. Those films are fun, and they looked the best I have ever seen. It seems to me that America needs to re-discover Roy Rogers!
