Thanks for giving me some really good news for the day.
Universal would be stupid not to consider a DTV release. Budgeted at 10 million it would have higher production costs than the two hour pilot and could make a TON of money. They only have to look at the Serenity and Firefly DVD...
While no sequel is in the planned stages, I wouldn't rule it out at some point. The DVD sold VERY well (and still IS selling well) as well as made decent money in rentals on vhs/dvd.

It's why each ship makes an appearance, Serenity appears in the Battlestar miniseries, and the battlestar appears in the SERENITY movie.

Yeah, it was just The Train Job and the 2 Hour SERENITY. I remember people complained after seeing Bushwacked in full-screen and Joss said something along the lines of "FOX decided our ratings would go up if we went from widescreen to fullscreen..."
