    Had they watched the movie WITHOUT knowing it was based on a series they probably would have enjoyed it better. The thought that they came in at the middle of the story put people off.

    Although it's not much, but the movie made roughly 39 million at the box office SO FAR. It's still opening in a few more locations and playing at some. It's not quite done overseas. But the DVD numbers will be amazing, that's my guess.
