    Well, I wouldn't call myself a physical media lover, but the disc has a more detailed video presentation that is especially apparent during the several "rain falling" film sequences in the movie. Furthermore, I like bonus material and the digital doesn't offer any. I'm more of a movie lover!

    @Mark-P The iTunes HD digital is derived from the same scan used on the Kino Blu-ray. Both of them have the same film anomalies, though, the detail on the Blu-ray looks better than the digital. I also have the Imprint Blu-ray which I haven't watch yet as I'm still watching the Kino Blu-ray...

    I might do that because I love this movie so much I can see watching this Blu-ray a couple of times. The last time I watched that digital, it looked like it was derived from the same scan as the 2005 DVD. I purchased that digital almost two years to the day.

    Kino's announcement and what's posted on Amazon doesn't mention "restoration". They state the following: "Remastered in HD by Paramount Pictures – From a 4K Scan of the 35mm Fine Grain"

    Yes, the 2005 Paramount DVD offered a better video presentation than that 2012 Blu-ray.

    One of my favorite movies of all-time. I think most films produced by Hall Wallis during his producer deal with Paramount still comes from them.
