Yeah, I was kind of rough on this movie earlier in this thread. It's a good movie despite my misgivings about Ginger playing a 12 year old.

I have to admit that I haven't watched my DVD of "I Was a Male Order Bride" in many years. I bought the HD digital from iTunes last year so I might revisit the movie in the near future.

Alright, I finished watching the Blu-ray after being distracted by that NFL game.:) Quite an improvement over the DVD. A really good job by Arrow. The movie is entertaining despite my issue with Ginger being 12 years old and then having older cadets putting moves on her like she was an older...

Yep, it's another film I enjoyed more when I was younger than I do now.

It's a movie that I enjoyed more as a kid than I do now as a man in his 60's.

I have to say watching this movie is kind of rough for me as there is no way Ginger Rogers passes as a 12 year old.

As I'm watching this Blu-ray now, I have to wonder why others haven't commented about it since June?

I'm not going to argue with you there. I can see those other women losing to the other's performance that year, but to Ginger in Kitty Foyle. Just another example of why I view the Oscars as a jaded process.

TBH, I was never a big Ginger Rogers fan even in her musicals with Fred. I wouldn't go as far as saying she's insufferable as I can watch her films, but just not a big fan.
