    I took advantage of that iTunes pricing which has now gone up. The Batman titles should get their free 4K upgrades when each of those 4K discs are released.

    I'm not talking about the new films in those series. I'm talking about the older titles that were issued years ago on Blu-ray, but are now being released on 4K. Anyhow, I don't agree with you so let's move on.

    How do we know they didn't do that? Perhaps, all of those films were 4K/UHD ready, but they didn't to spoon feed them out. The same with some of those Marvel titles.

    No, recently I have seen studios do it that way like Universal has done with the "Fast and Furious" films. Disney is doing the same with the Marvel stuff.

    Warner has been criticized a great deal here for not upgrading the included Blu-rays with 4K/UHD releases.

    Out of deference to those that love these films, I won't say anything more except the first Burton film I still like quite a lot.

    Over time, those earlier Batman movies have diminished for me. I'm a much bigger fan of the Nolan Batman films. I won't be buying these 4K discs, but will perhaps buy the 4K digital if available on iTunes for the right price.
