I was just wondering as IMAX theaters usually have louder audio levels than other theaters. Based on his previous film, I think the director intended the audio to be loud which is not good for everybody.
I'm thinking Tuesday or Wednesday for my second viewing. I wasn't too amp to see this sequel so I was pleasantly surprise how much I liked it. The problem I had was Gosling as the lead and the length of the film. It isn't that I don't like him, but he's far from my favorite leading actor...
The same thing happened at my IMAX screening. They had 3-D activated for the trailers and the text scroll before correcting the playing of the movie to 2-D just as Gosling landed his craft.
I'll probably check this out again in 3-D at my local Dolby Atmos theater with the 70 foot screen.
I have and agree with that comment. However, I rather see this particular film on an IMAX screen in 2-D than see it on a smaller screen in 3-D. In the past, such films would also be presented and converted to 3-D on an IMAX screen, but it's not case with this film so I had to make a choice.
My choices for the early Friday showing of this film.
2-D Presentation at my nearest IMAX Theater for $10.00
3-D Presentation at my local Dolby Atmos Theater with a 70 FT Screen for $11.50
I'm leaning towards the IMAX showing, not because of the lower pricing, but that I'm not so sure the 3-D...
Well, you can't please everybody so Fury Road will have its detractors like every other film made. For the most part, it was a well received film by the critics and general public so I'm sure George Miller can live with that outcome.
We'll see and if the first one was straightforward and simple as you say, it still didn't resonate with the audiences back then. And no, if the story was more complex it still wouldn't have made a difference in the box office back. Audiences for the most part, don't like complexity, they want...
Visuals are great, but what about the story line? I love Arrival and Sicario too, but I hope the script of this sequel can match the excellent visuals. Another worry is the length of the film. I used to love long films, but the current quality of long films have diminish lately, suffering...
I have to be honest with you, I'm not really looking forward to seeing this film. I might change my mind later, but it's not like it's on my to see list.
