Hi Frank, If you want to play with band/low/high pass filters for your subs, the Behringer DCX2496 is not a bad little toy, it can control 6 individual subs at one time. Also has a lot of other smarts as well. A couple of negatives are requires pro level signals for best performance...
Thanks Mark for that information. I have been using shelving filters in the past, which of course don't give any protection, but do limit the amount of signal and slope below 20Hz; I guess this only works based on the levels that are seen at 20Hz. Will give those Bessel filters a try...
