I wish it'd be leather. This is a special release and certainly deserves something more special than the ol' cardboard. Even if it were for a limited time only, it'd be great.

It was originally thought to due to extra battle scenes, but as it turns out, they didn't effect the rating.

I wish the packaging would be leatherbound, but it seems like it'll be the old cardboard. But come to think of it, there is no real confirmation.

I agree. It better be a paper insert that you can remove after opening it! I don't need a stinky back cover to ruin a great book-like effect!

They were announced as bookends. Note that in some pics of the box set, the statues are on either side of the Extended Edition packaging, made to look like a book.

As far as I know, Amazon does have the best price. At least American anyway. $25.99.
