The Heavy seem rather my style. I could use some heavy albums. Meanwhile, I got Aimee Mann's Charmer CD today. I liked it so much that I listened to it twice. She's off the acoustic, folksinger thing for now. The album rather sounds like Til Tuesday 4.

I listened to Jack White's Blunderbuss last night. I liked it. One of the high points was his cover of The Blasters' I'm Shakin'.

I just finished Solid Bond by Graham Bond. It was jazzier than I expected. I'm not partial to his cover of Green Onions.

I just finished the Clueless Soundtrack. The music is a heap better than the film!

I listened to Sandinista by The Clash this afternoon whilst playing Jr. Pacman...and then Axiom Funk's disc 1....it was a long game. Sandinista is just too long an album. I'd never get through the whole thing if I wasn't Pac-ing away.

For somebody who's put out as many albums as she has, I'm impressed. She's not getting older, she's getting better....but she's not as prolific as she once was. I hope she has another few albums this good left in her. I've played Slip Stream and the new Dr. John multiple times this week.

I played Jr. Pacman to Dr. John's Locked Down, Bonnie Raitt's Slip Stream, NRBQ's Keep The Love Goin', and Booker T.'s The Road From Memphis this afternoon. They're all surprisingly good albums from elder artists. The NRBQ is good but it might ought to be called the Terry Adams Band...?....gone...

I can't stop using MD now. I've digitized 600-900 vinyl albums to the format since 1998. I made Rita Coolidge's Nice Feelin' from an LP today that my brother-in-law loaned me. He brings 'em by and I clean 'em in my VIP machine for him and record the ones I wanna. Maybe someday I'll get ambitious...

I digitized my Back To The Bars vinyl to MD this evening. My copy is so cherry. It had a slight pop during the first 5 seconds and a second pop during the stage announcements on side 2. Sides 3 & 4 were utterly purr-fect. My favourite part was the tracks Eastern Intrigue and Initiation. I like...

I have that one but my copy is purr-fect. I've never bought it on CD. You've made me want to play my long slumbering vinyl.

I just finished Close To The Edge by Yes and I'm currently walking on Mclemore Avenue with Booker T. & the MG's, the remix, with the extra tracks. It's like everything you always wanted to play by the Beatles but refused to sing.

I'm taking a break from musique deee Navidad to listen to Sheryl Crow's C'mon C'mon because a song from it was in K-Pax that I watched last night....and I wanted to hear Safe And Sound again. After this CD ends, I'll be back to havin' auh White Trash Christmas... :yum:
