Keb' Mo' 'Just Like You' SACD
'Metallica' DVD-A
'52nd Street' SACD
Elton John 'Madman Across The Water' SACD
Not HiRez, but Bjork 'Vespertine' DualDisc
and a 'Beggars Banquet' SACD for a trader.
I didn't really purchase these titles, it was a swap for a couple CD's not available in the U.S.
'461 Ocean Boulevard', 'Slowhand' & The Carpenters' 'Singles 1969-1981' SACD's.
The Clapton's are great, but the Carpenters' SACD (M/C tracks) leaves people mesmerized.
Everyone I've played it...
There seems to be a bunch of HiRes stuff appearing out of nowhere. I saw a copy of Alison Krauss & Union Station Live SACD was week at my local BB.
I've found a fair bit at that BB in the past few months. I wonder where it's coming from ?
According to the liner notes, you are correct.
Three of the first session songs were recorded on a slow running machine which were corrected on the gold Mastersound edition.
The version I have says it is speed corrected.
Beatles 'Love' DVD-A on a whim... $16.99 at BB now.
96/24 MLP surround from some of the best tape sources ever.
It is a must. A big tease for what might gel this year.
I found Dire Straits 'Brothers In Arms' SACD by accident at my local Best Buy. I'd never seen it there before.
It's a wonderful surround mix and surprisingly smooth for what I assume had come from a 44.1/16 digital master.
Rachael B,
Do you have your extensive music/video collection catalogued ? Or do you keep it all in your noggin ?
You could probably put the Library of Congress to shame...
I assume you have your collection racked and packed. That must take up a fair bit of real estate.
Paul.S,
"JT" on SA-CD is clean and imaging is average (I haven't played the Stereo track yet). Surround use is modest. The only comparison I have is my original vinyl which has not survived well over the years.
"What's New" 5.1 Mix definitely brings Linda forward which at first started me...
