I think it's a sort of 'Catch 22' thing. As has been said, beyond the modern general public's (irrational, imo) bias against most b&w programming, a lot of the shows mentioned have largely been out of the spotlight for decades, so the contemporary Joe Blow isn't going to know what Bachelor...

Great list... though you missed a series: World of Giants ZIV, 1959, starring Marshall Thompson and Arthur Franz.

And WORLD OF GIANTS --just 14 half-hour episodes in total, so it'd make a simple little two-disc (or, at most, three-disc) set.
