Brad: that's right. Based on real events - which it was, partially (the Ed Gein story, if you don't remember). Blair Witch claimed it was the actual real footage of the event the movie tells the story of. A very big difference.

I found TBWP to be the most calculated piece of anti-art "art" that I've ever seen. It's a triumph of hype over substance, fueled by an innovative, staged, word-of-mouth campaign. It is, IMO, quite possibly, the worst movie made in a very long time.
