You might ask the seller if he'd be willing to look. I know it might mean he won't be able to ask as much for the item, though, if you don't buy it. I have two extra copies, but I had them in mind for family members, but now I'm not so sure LOL!
Unfortunately, I doubt they would be able to. Once they take a title 'out-of-print' I think Kino has to destroy all copies. However, because of the issue with the sound on the one disc, they might still have discs around. You'll have to risk the eBay purchase.
Keep an eye out for the Kino release on ebay, Vintage Stock, and even Amazon. I'm sure you'll be able to get a copy. Although, you'll still have to worry about getting the original release.
Be careful ordering slipcovers through Amazon. I've had to send several back in recent months due to being damaged during shipping. I'd wait for a future Kino sale to buy those titles. Not sure where you guys are located, but Vintage Stock / EntertainMart stores have most new releases for sale...
I think after all this time, they'd have the corrected disc. I wouldn't be so sure if it was ebay or a second-hand retailer (Vintage Stock), but I think you'd be safe if it's being sold by Amazon. I think that was released April 2019?
I had a bunch of items go missing Summer 2021, so I opened an account (free) with USPS and now I get daily emails (with pics) of what I'm getting in the mail that day, and reaching out with help on lost packages is easier.
