Not bad for the 22nd pick of the draft.

I think Vegas had the Falcons as 110-1 odds to win the Super Bowl, but there were other teams with higher odds against them.

Vick gets dropped by Airtran (their deal expired on May 8th, and Airtran decided to not re-up with Vick due to all the bad press, plus him flipping off fans last season didn't help).

Dan Patrick (on his ESPN radio show) thought it would have been really awkward had the news of Keyshawn being cut by the Panthers been delivered by Chris Mortenson during the first day of the draft, and then cutting to Keyshawn for his reaction to being cut by the Panthers.

Matt Schaub, come back! It would be hilarious if the Falcons were forced to draft a QB with their 1st round pick tomorrow.

I like the Schaub deal because the Falcons pretty much had to trade him, or do nothing and get nothing for a backup next year. The Falcons pretty much maximized Schaub's value this season by trading him for what they got for him.

I shudder to think what kind of collegiate career Calvin Johnson would have had if he didn't have a so-so QB (Reggie Ball) throwing to him at GT.

I just hope Horn will maintain his sure-handedness, even at his advanced age for a receiver because Jenkins and White do not have great hands. And hopefully Finneran will be able to regain his 2005 form before ripping up his knee. With Horn, this will allow Petrino to run some 4-receiver sets...

If anyone cares, Daniel Graham was signed by the Broncos.

Plummer wants to be sent to a team that will guarantee him the starting spot at QB. So he's playing the retirement card for now, but things may change (though Chris Sims is probably going to be named the starter for the Bucs).

The new defensive coordinator (formerly from the Cowboys) for the Falcons is also in the hunt for the San Diego head coach job.

Losing his OC and DC didn't help.
