It was Medium meets Cold Case. You sort of knew it wasn't going end where it did when there were 15 more minutes to the show, plus the ads for it ruined the reveal in the final 5 minutes of the episode. But, still, fun to watch.
Good episode, and while the DA was playing hardball that exacted a cost, perhaps it'll also serve as a deterrent for other children copping to charges that would land adults with longer prison sentences because even a night in prison could prove to be the death sentence. I did find it...
The family life scenes show the acceleration of the introduction of real world dangers to the daughters because of their abilities, and the toll it has on Joe is written well enough to provide the viewers with insight for his situation. The case was more in service of the family life...
I think it's great to see former "movie" actors on regular TV shows (a la James Spader on Boston Legal, and now Patricia Arquette on Medium). Arquette is just really good in her role, and her acting range is very good for this show. Overall, last night's episode was good, it makes you wonder...
Joey Slotnick just can't catch a break. He got put through the wringer on Nip/Tuck a season ago, and then in last night's episode, he showed up and then was gone. Nice to see "Kevin" from American Pie get some work, even if it's to play an evil kid of that snarky lawyer that Allison lowered...
How would you react if some strange lady showed up and told you to fight up a rape/murder attempt in 7-10 years? I think it'd be really hard to take her seriously, and yet, would you remember the warning 7-10 years down the line?
So it's 3 daughters in their household, with another in the oven? Damn. Even with her dreams, Allison must seem like a looney person to regular folks. But I did get creeped out by the future dreams, and how it unsettled Allison. At least she's proactive in dealing with her dreams. :)...
1/31/05 Allison fears that her marriage is falling apart after consulting with her own psychic, though she went just to find out about Joe's biopsy prognosis (turns out to be benign). Joe is having to work late hours, further making Allison suspicious. Plus finding a card that fell out of...
1/24/05 I liked the setup with the Bridget and Bobby story, and the resolution, it was very sweet. The other "main" subplot bordered on surreal at the very end, but the family relationship aspect of the show is pretty good, so I can look past the "crimes" portion.
