For fans of Arrested Development, be sure to check out the stars of the show was they play for charity on Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown on tonight 9 p.m. EDT. Here's the players in tonight's showdown: Will Arnett Jason Bateman David Cross Peter Facinelli Judy Greer (if they could...
FYI, no new Arrested Development episode will be on this Sunday due to "24" being shuffled to the 9 p.m. EDT timeslot as Fox will cover the Presidential press conference on Tuesday night.
I know I shouldn't watch this show when I'm tired (via time-shifting), but I thought it was merely average, with a few chuckles here and there. But the way Tobias assumed a stauncher posture because he was acting on behalf of "Gobias" was pretty amusing.
4/4/04 I thought it was an okay episode, not a great one, though still entertaining in delving into the psyche of the characters, mainly the hermanos (Michael, Gob, and Buster).
I was crying from the Tobias break-in attempt, oh, that was some funny stuff. When the prosecutor smacks Tobias's knuckles and he can't make a sound and had to bite down on something, oh, man, tears were flowing down my cheeks.
Pretty amusing, but not bust out funny, but it appears to mainly set up Sunday's upcoming episode. Can't wait to see how the non-blind prosecutor subplot plays out. I did bust out laughing at Tobias rolling on the kitchen counter in an effort to avoid the "blind" prosecutor in the "on the next...
Love the way they set up all different character bits at the start of an episode and then come through with a fairly cohesive ending that rarely ever misses the mark.
Oh damn, that was a funny episode with tremendous setup and payoff at the end. "What Would Saddam Do?" LOL! Gobe's quite the grudge *beep*er, isn't he?
Just a warning that tonight's episode (with Heather Graham) has been reported as listed as a "Repeat" in Tivo and ReplayTV channel guides. It is for my ReplayTV listings, so I thought it deserved to be mentioned in case we have some Tivo users who don't have their Tivo's record "repeats".
This show is so self-aware-ly funny. Anyone else get all grossed out and disturbed by the blue jeans and sock, or just the prospect of Lindsay and Tobias getting funky?
The Bluths were mad rich before their father's incarceration, so it doesn't surprise me, either, that they were be ignorant of Spanish, even if they lived in California.
Carl Weathers was cracking me up on the handouts and damages. Too bad he didn't show up with a fake hand... Also, the publicist calling George Michael "Opie" was a tip of the hat to the narrator, who then told her to "watch her mouth". Hehe.
There was so much on at the 9 p.m. timeslot, I had to manually record Arrest Development with a VCR, and I also padded it by 30 minutes because of the overtime in the NFL playoff game.
I like the way Michael and Lindsay play off one another, they really appear to have that brother-sister-twin thing down now. I laughed when someone called Gob: "Gobe" (instead of "jobe").
