Yeah, why would WB not enhance it for widescreen?
Wonka is meant for 1.85:1 matting, and all of WB's matted 1.85:1 titles are anamorphic.
C&D is a hybrid open matte/ pan & scan film (open matte for all non-CGI scenes, p&s for CGI scenes)
Who knows...maybe WB spent a few extra dollars to get...

I hope this means an end to open matte and P&S DVD's for WB...This is a great thing, though. Now the WB chat won't be an insult festival...we'll actually be able to ask some real questions.
Let's just hope that WB's only full frame...
