Not Elvis as much as the Colonel over Ann-Margaret's hightened screen presence. Elvis was VERY taken with her, so, according to the doc on the disc and Guralnick's book, it doesn't seem E was paying too much attention to this issue. I certainly can't blame Elvis, hubba, hubba indeed!
Thanks, Ed! Warners usually sends us stuff really close to street date or after it, so our reviews are usually beat by "fan" reviews, for lack of a better term. I have Jailhouse Rock and I'm doing that one today. It has a lot to live up to after this excellent disc.
