Just when I thought I knew everything about a director, cinematographer or actor;
just when I thought I've seen every movie made;
just when I thought I've enjoyed enough to no longer need any more;
along comes HTF with another review and another contagious discussion;
then damn, another order...
Dick and Thomas T have sparked a few nostalgic memories.
The now demolished single-screen theater of my small town enjoyed a long history.
2 different movies per week; Sun-Tues and Wed-Sat.
One and two week bookings for a single film were rare.
But, in this theater's entire 57 year history there...
I'm now inspired to run a BD and Breakfast.
Maybe I'll name it The 4Korners Inn.
One guest room w/ one custom selected viewing upon a projected 120" screen.
All proceeds shall go to every licensee towards future restorations.

Hopefully, I am not veering too far off topic, but this thread has also served my recollections of when I first began to collect films in an even earlier format. My very first reels of film had come out of a group known as Castle Films. If memory serves me correctly, these silent 8mm reels had...
Why does a gourmet have so many utensils?
Why does a pianist have so many scores?
Why does an artist have so many brushes?
Why does an ocean have so many fish?
Why does a sky insist on so many stars?
Our love for film is infinite;
and our collections are the evidence of that truth.
