For sure. I’m sure they will include all the cuts of the film. I’m glad they will honor Robert Wise’s wishes as well. Something they didn’t do for Blu ray.
Its interesting that the original audio for many of the films is not available anymore. Motion picture on blu ray is 7.1 as are the others.
I just watched it again yesterday. I kept the dvd even when I bought the blu ray set. I prefer the directors cut of the film. It’s more polished and complete.

Maybe we need to get everyone to rebuy a copy of the Motion picture directors edition dvd from amazon.

seriously though I think all of the Trek films are coming in 4k eventually. Great reasons mentioned here. The merger, new digital platform and maybe the presents...
I think with this lost year a lot of things are being pushed off to 2021. Or slowed down.
I’m still very hopeful that a directors cut of tmp is coming soon though.
