Thanks to your post, I dug out my Urban Action Collection last night to rewatch "Hot Potato" ... which froze several times but continued to play to the end of the credits.

I did the same ... and the MOD Warner Archive from Amazon on plays perfectly.

I just dug out my WB box set Film noir classic collection vol 4 to watch 1949's Tension on the dual titled DVD Where danger lives/Tension ... Tension had a several second delay in loading... then soon began freezing intermittently before freezing altogether some ten minutes into the running...
