Hell, even I thought about getting that Chosen Collection- once I actually saw it sitting on store shelves up close. Even in Canadian dollars, it was a good price for an entire series. At the time however, I didn't have the money for it, and I have no regrets saving a little more for the...
You see no difference in not owning something vs. not watching something? So if it came down to money - not being able to afford to get a DVD set, that means you will never watch it - via rentals or television? What if you like it but don't think it's something you will watch very often...
Way to put words in my mouth that I never spoke.... I said I won't to that 'alternating episodes' thing again because of the hassle, and I DO NOT OWN seasons 4-7 - that doesn't mean I won't ever see them again...there's always reruns of those seasons anyway. I like seasons 4, 5, and 7...
I'll repost most of what I said in the other thread, see what kind of response it gets: For all the comments that people make about how both shows are so deeply connected, there's an awful lot of bias against the spinoff, as well as people who haven't even seen it at all, and in some cases...
It's been 3 years since I've seen a single episode of Buffy, and if it weren't for this thread - something interesting to participate in - I'd probably never see the series ever again. Perhaps this thread will help me to appreciate it a little more.
I wished that there was some sort of acknowledgement regarding Heigl's Roswell co-star Brendan Fehr, appearing as a recurring character alongside her Season 3 husband Adam Rodriguez on "CSI: Miami". It would have been nice to have included a subtle joke about that...I love that stuff.
In one episode of ANGEL, he tells Buffy to basically get lost. It wasn't so much out of anger, but bitterness. When I first saw that episode, it was a small sample of what the Buffy character was like, and when Angel went off on her like that, I felt the same way about Angel that Joss Whedon...
I'm talking about the endings of these shows - Enterprise was not a TNG spinoff (I didn't know it had TNG characters on it, but regardless, it's not a spinoff) and Frasier didn't end with his packing his bags and returning to Boston. Shows crossing over is one thing, but making a spinoff show -...
That is all bull to me. Did Frasier Crane return to the "Cheers" bar when that show ended? Did Picard and crew return to help out the Deep Space Nine crew when it ended? They are separate shows. I'm not having this conversation with you anymore about this subject. I'm tired of it...
What I meant by 'leftovers' were characters like Spike and Andrew - Buffy characters brought onto ANGEL after that show ended...hated Andrew. Spike showed up on ANGEL because that was one of the WB network's forced changes - Casting him on the show was part of getting a fifth season. I don't...
I wish Spike hadn't shown up - only because I didn't want Buffy leftovers. All those rumors about Dawn and even Buffy herself showing up in future episodes of season 5 were either proven wrong, or didn't happen for logistical reasons...and I was very glad for that. The comments that really...
Why does any studio repackage popular titles? I think one of the goals with this new release is to offer silmmer, more attractive cases instead of the bulky, inconvenient digipaks currently available. I hate digipaks, but I don't know if replacing my ANGEL sets (should that series see a...
1. Wendy L. - I have seen the entire series of Buffy - I plan on watching all 7 seasons - I would like to rewatch Angel when S3 of Buffy is over. 2. Eric Meske. - I have seen the entire series of Buffy - I plan on watching all 7 seasons - I would like to rewatch Angel when S3 of Buffy is...
In much fewer words, I don't make any sort of deal about old shows and spoilers either. For these shows in particular, there's so much out there about all that happened, it's not easy for a fan, or potential fan, to try to learn about these shows (I say that because just 'blind buying' a TV DVD...
I completely agree with that spoiler. What I didn't like about her was that she seemed so selfish, and there was so much emphasis on making the audience care about her...I didn't. She had her moments, where I did care, and I did like her, but very few. That whole thing were she basically...
Buying Season 1 of ANGEL was bittersweet - losing sleep in anticipation of getting it the next day (Feb 11, 2003) and seeing Doyle again, knowing that Glenn Quinn had died less than 3 months before. I recall watching those episodes in a sort-of tribute. Interesting the ways things like that...
Based on what others have said about the similar "X Files" repackaged sets, extras might be reshuffled to other discs, but content-wise, no difference. I got season 1 of Buffy as a 'oh, what the hell, I've never bought a TV show on DVD before' lark. Didn't think I'd commit to getting the...
