Press Release WHV Press Release: Max Fleischer's SUPERMAN 1941-1943 (Blu-ray)

I got my copy yesterday and watched The Mad Scientist. I thought it looked great! I don't know what these shorts looked like originally, but if this is what they looked like, I think they're very well done. I took some quick screencaps from the DVD and new blu ray.

Ha, ha! Smart. In addition to Stephen’s quoted line above, your post reminded me of an episode of Frasier when Frasier asks Daphne a question that is difficult to answer and would be provocative. Daphne: Oh, no. No, you don't. You're not getting me into that Vietnam. I learned a long time...

I’m very interested if Mr. Harris has been able to view a copy of the disc. In the third post of this thread, RAH said this has been a major on going project and will be beautiful. Because the people who have seen this disc have expressed disappointment, I have been very curious if there is...

I just took a look on a 50” display. There is some smearing that looks like it was from the grain. Not sure about the blow-outs from my viewing. I’m not an expert of these films. Agreed though it’s not great from a critical view point. From an initial viewing of it, I was looking at the artistry...

Press Release WHV Press Release: Max Fleischer's SUPERMAN 1941-1943 (Blu-ray)

Guys, the YouTube AI suggested this Fleischer Superman 4K restoration video for me. It’s from 2 years ago and was sourced from the DVD for the upscale and clean up. Looks pretty good. I’ll should be getting the Blu ray today, so I’ll be able to see how the new blu ray looks.

Thanks for clarifying there is an HTF reviewer on it. I’m not rushing or pushing and certainly appreciate that the reviewer has a life and a job and doing disc reviews is something done when time permits. I did not know if there is a review being done. Cool, I look forward to reading it.

I’ll check out that review Rick, thanks. But it makes me wonder why no one at the HTF has a review copy? Or perhaps they do and they are still working on it. I’ve got my copy pre-ordered too. So I’ll also see how it looks next week.

This was a pleasant surprise to find this thread and news! I was wondering if the shorts would ever get the HD release. I thought the shorts looked great on DVD, so I’m really curious how this remaster will look. i look forward to it and hope these reports from Bill Hunt’s review will be...
