    Fringe - By J.J. Abrams

FOX is moving Fringe to Thursday nights in the fall (unless they change their mind). Meanwhile, I was thinking about the finale again. Does anyone remember the details of what Walter said was his first encounter with the Observer? I thought he said something about the Observer saving either...

This morning I glanced at the time my DVR thought Fringe was going to start tonight and saw 9:05 PM. I have no idea whether that is correct or not, but anyway folks should be on the alert to it started late and ending late. (The DVR guide only gives it as ending at 10 PM, though.)

The beginning of the episode "Midnight" was a surprise. The way it started, it looked like the guy was out for prey and it turned out that he ended being prey. I am glad that the knowing look Boone gave to the video camera paid off and he did record some answers for Olivia before dying. Now...

I think things were coming back to him during the episode but seeing the tape sealed it.

We finally got to hear William Bell's voice in this episode. And the glyphs this time wereBELL W I thought the episode was quite intriguing and promises some big excitement as the season winds down. Meanwhile, WTTG in DC appeared to be broadcasting it in SD for some mysterious reason...

I just learned that Fringe Television - Fan Site for the FOX TV Series Fringe has an entry "Fringe Episode 115: What You Missed Because of American Idol" which has the last 6:39 of the episode.

There is also a player at Watch Fringe | Episodes Online Free that you could try. [I haven't tried this, but I saw that it was there.] In any case, the episode was not heavy on continuity and a quick summary of the episode is probably all that anyone needs to follow along to the next one.

I'm glad I watched it live and so was able to catch it. Since the live audience counts a lot more than the DVR'd audience in the ratings, they were trying to increase the ratings and hurt the 9 and 10 PM shows on other channels. I thought it was a good episode. I suggest that you do watch...

American idol went some 8 minutes over. I couldn't believe it. Folks on the West Coast watch out! Fringe went to about 6 or 7 after the hour. By the way, there was a new glyph tonight. It appeared that they spelled Walter

I am getting to like her a lot and throwing the jerk boss investigating her is probably designed to help us get more sympathetic with her as well.

He was trying to save her from something, but her interference in his personal situation was more than he could handle. Of course, if he is really on the side of good, why did he wear a mask and not tell her why he was injecting her at the time? I wish we saw more of Mr. Jones this episode...

At least we only have to wait until January. One question I have is what is the significance of Little Hill? Mitchell Loeb got himself infected by an engineered parasite just so they could get that location. We know that was the location used in extracting Mr. Jones, but why is that location...

Well, there is a lot to not understand in the show (and for that matter most of the characters in the show probably don't understand what is going on), but that is part of the attraction to me. I like puzzles and mysteries. I am getting the feeling that this is a show that might look a lot...

About the eating ritual, it was explained later in talking to Walter that he wouldn't taste the root beer float. Thus he needed all those spices to actually taste something. That was interesting. The mind meld thing immediately reminded me of the Doctor Who episode Midnight this season. The...

One thing about the episode that did bother me was after they interviewed Penrose and knew that he was lying or hiding some information - why didn't they try to get some people to keep an eye on him? I guess they need to build more infrastructure for their work, but a call to Broyles or the FBI...

Actually, I think DaveF implied he suffered halfway through the Alias pilot before being interested. Alias did shake things up several times during its run. I can see Fringe has the possibility of shaking things up. Someone who is on the committee we see at the beginning of the second episode is...

The second Walter started talking about that we also thought that Peter was a clone. My son thought that the bodies in the room at the end were Peters, but I thought it was speed-aging guy. We went back to check that it did look like the speed-aging guy. Neil

In the article she does qualify the numbers by discussing the lead-ins to them. Of course, what is "good ratings" changes over time. Still, 9.1 million is not a blockbuster beginning. I'm hoping a good chunk of new people will catch it on Sunday and give strong ratings to it next Tuesday after...

Most of the ratings analysis I've seen for Fringe has said that it did not do as well as previous JJ Abrams pilots. So, while it did good for the week, they thought it should have done much better. Neil
