There's not much consistency with digital. In the case of Star Trek, the extended cuts of TWOK and TUC are separate purchases on iTunes. TWOK upgraded to 4k and HDR and I hope TUC does as well. I've never owned the "Special Longer Version." I had the film on CED which was the theatrical cut, in mono! Then I got the widescreen Laser Disc which was also the theatrical cut. So finally, nearly 40 years after its television debut, I'll have the SLV in my collection with this deluxe box set...
