35th anniversary screenings of Star Trek IV are happening on Thursday, August 19. I don't know if it's a Fathom Event (it's not on their site) but I've found several theaters across the country playing it. Here's AMC in LA.
Be sure to get the 40th anniversary edition of the novelization coming October 1.

Trekmovie tweeted during the Trumbull talk. I don't know if this is everything.

That's not how it was done in 1991. "Unification" aired in November as a tease to Star Trek VI, which opened in early December. You may wish to preserve that experience.

Sorry for the bump, but thought this would interest a few people here.
A demo reel from Apogee (John Dykstra's effects house) has surface online. It's comprised entirely of TMP footage and has extended and unused shots from the movie!

I can remember getting that VHS tape in 1987 and being surprised by the artwork change. And I think I finally figured out who the artist is! Looking at the signature in the lower right of that image (larger here but partially cut off) it looks to be by Dan Goozee.
Another 29 year mystery...
Mike Matessino is quoted in the October/November 2001 issue of Film Score Monthly (volume 6, number 9) saying, "As with all of the elements we had brought in on Star Trek, everything was archived and stored in pristine condition by Paramount. All of the negative trims, all of the effects...
Early home video releases had the "II", ergo it wasn't sourced from a 70mm print or internegative. It wouldn't make sense to transfer a movie shot in 35mm to be transferred to home video from a 70mm element anyway.
The most likely answer is the one you said, your memory is fooling you.

The line is "Sensors indicate three Klingon cruisers bearing 3-1-6 mark 4, closing fast". The word "battle" is never spoken.
If you want to talk about TWOK getting terms wrong because of TMP reuse, you must talk about them constantly referring to "spacedock" while the footage is clearly TMP's...
Goldsmith went back to the alternate version of "Spock's Arrival" for a cue from "Star Trek V". Give "Raid on Paradise" a listen on either the La-La Land or Intrada Trek V CD.
He also used it for a cue in "Supergirl", but that's another story.

The 5.1 track used the audio from the GNP CD for the music. In one of the cues, "Goodbye M. Decker" a pick-up take was used for the ending in the original episode while the GNP album didn't use that take. So now the GNP take wound up in the episode. And I think the drop out on the LD is when they...
